Industrial and Heritage Visit organized for students of LKCE
LKCE in its commitment to strengthen the academic learning of their students arranged Industrial and Leisure Visit of ECE, Mechanical and Computer Science Engineering department.
The purpose of these visits was to provide exposure to students about the various products which are manufactured in this industry and to energize them.
The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering arranged an industrial visit to Punjab Communication System, Mohali to provide exposure to students about the various products like, Voice/Data Multiplexers, Power Plants, Optical/Transmission Equipment, Digital Radios, PLCC, Broadband Equipments etc. The Head of the training department, Mr. Rohit Malhotra along with his engineers provided a deep insight about all the above mentioned products. The students were accompanied by Er. Gagandeep Singh Dhaliwal (Assistant Professor,ECE) & Mr. Vishnu Dutt (Lab Technician, ECE, ) who shared their knowledge and experience. Er. Amandeep Singh (HOD, ECE) said that these kind of industrial visits help the students to understand the actual practical implementation of the concepts which they are studying theoretically.
The department of Mechanical Engineering organized an industrial visit of the Fifth semester Mechanical Engineering students to GNA Duraparts Mehtiana. The purpose of visit was to enhance the practical technical skills related to the latest CNC technology used in manufacturing industry. Advanced CAM technology was practically explained by the experts of GNADuraparts. Er Gagandeep Singh and Er. Navdeep Singh accompanied the students and guided them about the future prospects of Mechanical Engineering. Dr. Sukhraj Singh, HOD Department of Mechanical Engineering said these types of visits are necessary to aware the students about the latest technology being used by industry.
The department of Computer Science Engineering organized a heritage visit to Chandigarh with an approach to refresh and energize students from their daily hectic study schedules. The students along with Er. Sandeep Ranjan and Er. Ritika Kohli visited various heritage sites like rock garden, Sukhna lake and rose garden. The students were found excited and re-energized for their upcoming university exams and new academic session. Er. Ranjit Singh Hundal, HOD Department of Computer Science Engineering said these types of visits are necessary for students to provide a refreshing environment for students.
S. Sukhbir Singh Chatha (Director Academics, KCl Group) said that LKCE is committed to strengthen the academic learning of their students by keeping this practice of arranging industrial and heritage visits.
Dr. Y.S. Randhawa (Director, LKCE) appreciated the Department of ECE , Mechanical and Computer Science Engineering for arranging these visits. He encouraged the students and the faculty to organize these types of visits in future also.
